I love Shank Hall. I've seen several shows there. It's a small venue (their site says it only holds 300, but that seems generous to me) but that's what I like about it, it's very intimate and it has a great vibe. I wouldn't really describe it as a bar. It's a concert venue and only open for concerts. If you check out their website you can get an idea of what I mean....

The only thing I don't like about Shank is that nobody ever stands, at least not at any of the shows I've been to and I've already seen Charlie and Jack there once. You basically just sit back and take it in. I'm not sure why it's that way, but it seems to be understood that you stay in your seat. I know, that will be a tall task with Jack and Charlie!

So, are you really coming up from Texas for this show?

OH NOOOOO!! I really don't like watching CR (with the whole band, at least) at sit down shows!!!

Ugh ... that's too long of a trip to make to then be expected to sit down and behave!!

Yes, we'll really be there! LESS THAN ONE WEEK!!! WOO HOO!!

Stephanie, just remember the rules.......stalkers can not be responsible for their actions or the actions of their friends, who may or may not be stalkers as well. This rule has proven worthy of being cared forward to the midwest tour.

And I just wanted to reiterate this important point. HA HA HA!!!

Thanks for the link to their website.

I just found this...

Quote:
There is no reserved seating. The band/artists dicate how they want the room set up. Some acts like to have a clear floor so people can stand in front of them and they can feed off the energy of the crowd. Some like the open area in front of the stage and tables and chairs in back .others like to have all tables and chairs. It all depends on the act and unless they have been to the club before we usually do not know until the night of show what they want becuse Ticket sales also play a part on what the act wants. No act wants to have a clear room if only 50 people are there

Alright Heather - I tried to PM you and got that damned error message! I did get yours though.

We should defintely meet up at Shank. It would be nice to meet some fellow fans. Let me know what your plans are and we'll figure something out.

And Chicago does sound tempting....especially since they are only playing a few dates together. We'll see how the week pans out....

We'll just have to follow the unwritten rule that I made up today.

-Stalkers don't have to sit-

Well, I guess now it has been written.
