HAA HAA HAA!! I went to the website for this bar in Chicago where CR will be playing on Thursday, May 4. Here's what they had to say about him...

Quote:
Some of Charlie's best include "Walter," "Photograph," "Right Man for the Job."

YESSSS!! Damn, they hit that on the head. The number one of Charlie's top three songs is DEFINITELY "Walter"!!

Jackasses.

They should have included "Stranglehold" -- and mentioned that he's a fan of Monica Lewinski.

The Chicago show was great. Jack sounded great, Charlie sounded great. all around it was great as far as Jack and Charlie. Unfortunately however, as in every crowd, there were a couple dickhead fans that were rude and spoiled it for everyone around them. I need to vent . Here are just a few of their priceless dumbass moments:

The two rude fans were an Amazon chick and her red polo wearing boyfriend. They acted like they were Jack and Charlie's number one fans but didn't know sh*t. They didn't know the band members. In fact, they didn't even know Charlie's name, yelling "Charlie Robinson!"

The Amazon wench yelled "El Cerrio! Play El Cerrio!" No, that is not a typ-o. The dumb wench really did not know how to say the name of the song.

The Amazon wench walked through the crowd without saying excuse me. She'd just shove her way through with beers and shots for Jack and Charlie. She was flat out rude. I don't mind you passing Charlie a beer or a shot, but Jesus. How hard is it to be nice and say, "Excuse me?"

She'd also lean over me and other women from behind trying to touch Jack and Charlie's guitar and her boobs were pushed into the backs of our heads. Excuse me, maybe the boys would like that, but get your fucking boobs away from me. Freak.

I actually heard the guy tell the girl when Loving County began, "This is our theme song baby." I sh*t you not. Niiiiiice.

The guy also thought everyone was Kevin, except Kevin. Lee would come on stage, and he'd say, "That's Kevin Carroll!" We'd tell him no, it's not. That's Lee. Kim would come on stage, and he's say, "That's Kevin Carroll!" We'd tell him. No. that's Kim. I had to tell him who Kevin was. Then he proceeded to yell "KEVIN CARROLL!" all night.

When Pete (jack's drummer) was talking to Heather and I, the guy leans in to me and says after Pete leaves, "Who was that? Was he someone important?" I looked at him like he was fucking nuts and said, "Yeah. That's Pete. Jack's drummer. He was just on stage 15 minutes ago." The guy goes, "Oh. Sorry. I'm just a dumb guy from Chicago." Yeah. No sh*t dumbass.

She would yell "Texas!" and "Billy Bob's" for no freakin' apparent reason. My guess is she made a trip down there once in their life and went to the tourist trap and thought that's the cool place to go. Nevermind Billy Bob's is one of the suckiest places to see a concert and only tourists think Billy Bob's is cool

When Charlie threw a pic, it landed on the floor in front of me, Heather and Amanda. I looked down to see where it landed. I wasn't jumping all over it, just looking down to see where it went, but the jackass tried pulling me aside to get it. I told him firmly, "CHILL. If you want it that fucking bad...I'll find it and give it to you." He just laughs and pats me on the shoulder and stops pushing me aside. Right then, the nice lady standing to my left, sees it, and picks it up. I patted her on the shoulder and smiled at her. I was happy she got it. The jackass did not deserve the pic.

These two sent me over the edge when after asking them to quit hitting us with their swaying arms, they continued to do so. At one point, he grabs my arms, and puts them in the air and made me sway. It was either kick the jackass in the groin and bust her lip open, or walk away. I chose to walk away and left my prime spot in front of Charlie to get away from them and cool down. As you can tell....I'm still working on that.

That kind of rudeness ticks me off. Enjoy the show. Have a good time, but for god sakes, quit pushing it on others, yelling stupid sh*t, and ruining it for everybody around you. It's simple really, just be CONSIDERATE. You know....the things your mother taught you when you were FIVE?

Everyone was annoyed as hell with them. I hate dumbass fans that do stupid sh*t.

Ditto.

I was determined to not let them ruin the last night though. So I decided to just laugh at them.

You are so good Amanda. I tried doing that too, but as everyone here knows, I don't tolerate idiots well. But that's long past now. Last night made up for it. The fans there I thought were great and a much more polite, friendly crowd. Who knew this god forsaken town I live in could be fun?

You should have asked the girl, "Did your wedding ring come on a hacked-off finger?"

Its too bad you didn't get to hear their reaction to "Love means never...", I bet that was worth a good laugh.

Hey guys! I was at that show too, and those people were incredibly rude and annoying. Just to defend Chicagoans, the Amazon B*tch was from Texas. I heard her telling people in the bathroom. She was acting like she was a celebrity. Unfortunately, there are people like that at every concert I've ever been to. I'm glad you posted about it because I really thought we were just a magnet for these people. We moved away from them after Jack, but ended up next to a group of frat guys that were spilling beer everywhere and yelling the lyrics before Charlie could sing them.

I'm sorry, but I gotta yell BULLSHIT on that one. Not on you tearbear, but on her. If she was from Texas, she wouldn't be yelling "BillyBobs". I'd bet money she was lying. Besides, her boyfriend said they were from Chicago.

LMAO! Yeah. I can see right through that one.

Tearbear - were you standing near that couple during Jack's show? If so, I bet we saw you. Too bad we didn't know you were going to be there - it would have been great to meet in person!!

I wasn't right next to them, but close enough to be annoyed. I was by another couple that thought they were in a dancehall in Texas and wanted to two step the whole night. Look, it's crowded enough. We don't need you taking up the floor with your "moves".

I'm going to New Braunfels in July and I'll be seeing Roger Creager at Gruene Hall. Are people generally that ignorrant there? I hope not.
